Your Vote Matters. (Really!)

Before the comments section becomes ablaze with heated disagreement, I should mention that I'm talking about the Seeds For Success Grants Program...in case you thought this title referred to something else.

This incredible opportunity for women entrepreneurs, offered this year for the first time by fwm and Yahoo! Small Business is now in its voting phase.

YOU have the opportunity to help us select the Grand Prize Winner. As many of you have read or seen on the NBC Today Show, three finalists were selected in March from the thousands of entrants. Each finalist received $20,000 cash, up to $5,000 in technical assistance (including website design and upgrades), and free Yahoo! web hosting services for two years.

These fortunate entrepreneurs have spent the last several months growing their three very diverse businesses, with help from Carolyn, Bobbi BrownCathie Black, and Carolyn's team of expert mentors.

Vote daily by clicking on the Seeds For Success link to help the most deserving finalist win. Check back frequently to see if Abby, Dana, or Karla will walk away with the additional $10,000 cash and other prizes. May the best business win!

I remember this from the Today Show--it's an awesome program! I have to go for the lady with the products for special needs kids--this is such a great idea.

Hi Viviana,I have been searching for a site that is dedicated to us hard working women that want something to ourselves (a buisness). I have been brain storming and surfing (almost drowning) trying to come up with something that will secure the future for my kids. They are teenagers so college is going to be my #1 debt for either me or my kids, either way one of us are going to owe school but there's no way i can not let them suceed because EDUCATION means success to me. But i have been able to provde the best i can for them. I know, it's like a feeling in the middle of your stomach that there is something out there for me to dicover. It's not about the money you can earn but about not having to worry all the time.....well Viviana just wanted you to know that i admired you on the Apprentice, and it's not a surprise to me that you stand up for women that want and also need to succeed in life. Oh yeah, i voted too..Take Care,Tara

Hi Viviana...Like i said i am stil brain storming, but i do have a suggestion. I lived in Puerto Rico for 26 yrs. I work in a pharmacy as a technician where i am the only person there that can help out hispanics. Yahoo has they're web in spanish so maybe your company can target the spanish community also. I know for a fact there are spanish women out there in need to succeed too. Most do speak english but they feel comfortable in there own primary language. I know there's a market out there for LA MUJER that feels she can do better. Hope to hear from you soon.. Tara

Thanks for writing back, Tara! One of our expert contributors is a Kaplan University professor named Dr. Robert Rodriguez--he writes and speaks all over the country on the value that Latino workers add to the American workforce. Be sure to look for his articles when our full website launches.
